Memoir

Memoir

In 2009 I was a little three year old  I lived with my mum, dad, and my older brother. We lived in a bright yellow house In Dobson. It was so perfect nothing  could go wrong we all laughed smiled at each other we had lots of fun  I had my whole family until.

A couple months further on my mum and dad would start arguing more often. I didn't  understand what was going on they would yell at each other every second. They couldn't stop yelling and saying other stuff that me and my brother never knew.

Weeks and weeks later there was still a lot of drama going on but final something bad happened. My dad couldn't handle anymore of it so couldn't my mum and the both got divorced. So on my mum moved in to Greymouth and my dad still lived in our old house but not long he moved into a greenhouse. It was very hard for me and my brother but we got to see our dad and mum whenever we wanted to go it was so great but there was changes. Rough things happen even though my dad and my mum werent together anymore there was still more and more drama. Me and my brother were sick of it but that's how it went.

I have learnt that sad and rough memories will never ever fade away and they will be still remembered all the time. And life isn't fair you just gotta move on in life. But at least i've got my family that's the most important thing that I have. It is hard for me and my brother but we can get through it all and so can you.

I am Lucky to be a New Zealander becuase

I am Lucky to be a New Zealander Because

We have a fresh supply of food, water and fresh air but as many other countries the air is polluted and the water is to so it's hard for other people from many different countries to drink water and breathe. Many little children around the world starve and have to drink  dirty filthy water and could die any second or even right now. And many children have to climb on wooden ladders and go across zip lines without being secured on and some kids even don't go to school.

In New Zealand we don't have a lot of killing, shooting or a big war but many countries do. Such as Syria, America, Iraq   and many different countries. In syria a lot of families struggle to keep their children safe and other people because isis are planting bombs polluting the water and killing a lot of people and many families have lost their lives all around the world because of war.

Families don't have houses like us the have to make their house out of sticks, wood ,stone and other things that they can find. Families don't have blankets and they dont have a lot of clothes which it is hard for their families to keep them warm even some children get hypothermia from how freezing they are.  They can also get a disease and get really sick from the coldness.

In New Zealand you can go to school without paying a lot of money and get free milk and dental checks But as in other schools you can't. Parents have to pay a lot of money for their children to go school but most parents can't because they are poor. And kids don't get free milk or free dental checks like us it is really hard for them growing up and some children don't make it.

Don't just care about yourself care about others to think about what other children, People around the world  have to live with. Help people with struggle and be grateful on what you have. Families struggle to care for their children and protect them and to give them food  water, warm clothing, shelter but they try very hard to protect their family. I think every family should get fresh water, a supplies of food and warm clothing and a proper home I think that war is just horrible and cruel. I am proud and lucky to be a New Zealander and I am very thankful.

Portrait Poem

Portrait Poem

My hair is as curly as a bowl of swirly noodles
My brain is like technology thinking constantly
My blue eyeballs glisten and sparkle in the beautiful sun
My teeth are as sharp as a shark hunting for food
My ears are delicate as a piece of cardboard
My eyebrows are as thick and hairy as my dog's fur
My heart pounds like construction workers banging and smashing buildings
My Nostrils are as dark as a piece of coal
My throat is like a  slide that food and water travel down
I speak polite words and I try to help all my friends and my family no matter what
I like everyone to be nice and kind to one another no matter how angry or sad they are
