Science road show

IMG_1998.JPGScience roadshow
On Tuesday the 14th room left the school at 12:pm  to go to the science road show at the Grey high school. There were two more schools Awahono school and paparoa range. It was called spectacular change.

The first show they did was about microscopes.  They used a bit of paper from a book and put it under the microscope and dropped a bit of water which made the words look bigger and it looked very interesting and cool. Next we were aloud to play around with the experiments across the room. There was a whole bunch of different experiments for everybody to try. My Favourite experiment was the the talking phone which you had to have two people and you can talk to each other in the same spot. You could also change the volume of your voice to make it sound loud or quiet.

After the experiments There was a second show it was about  solid and liquids. They also made oobleck with corn flour and water and food colouring. Next they were volunteering for somebody to help them make elephant toothpaste. Jessie was the volunteer to make it where I was sitting it kind of looked like an elephant it was awesome. It was time for us to leave we left at 2 o'clock.

I have learnt all of the solid and liquids and the chemical reactions I thought it was very interesting and fun. It was my first time doing science and I really enjoyed it.

I am

I am
My family is like a forest.

My mum is the beautiful dazzling tree that sparkles like glitter when the sun shines.
My brother is the gamer that all he thinks about is games and plays them wherever he goes.
My dad is  The strong, slim, tall tree he is strong enough to protect my family from the danger near us.
I am the short tree like one of the seven dwarfs of Snow white and gives love to my family.

My hair is as gold as a lions mane and has brown in it like the mushy mud.
I am a Busy bee flying everywhere doing what I have been told to do.
My back is as bendy and stretchy as a rubber band.
I am as fast as a Cheetah hunting for its prey.
I am lazy like my cat sleeping on the couch.
I am as cheeky as a Monkey Sneakily walking around without anybody noticing.
I am as crazy as a monkey going bananas in a zoo.
I am as happy as my best friend when we laugh that it gets out of control.
My eyes are blue like the ocean glistening in the sun that I could dive into The water.

Why chewing gum should not be allowed at schools

Why chewing gum should not be allowed at schools
  1. I think chewing gum should not be allowed at school because it will distract students from doing their work.

2. They also would put it under their desk, chairs, walls and any other places around the school and it will just attract ants and all different type of bugs and that's very disgusting.

3. Chewing gum will not stop students from talking while during class. Because they will still make chewing, Chomping noises.

4. Students could give other students gum to chew in class.

5. They also could blow bubbles with their gum which is very annoying for other students while they are trying to focus while doing their work.

6. Chewing gum is not a quiet exercise it is very noisy and some students eat gum with their mouths open.

7. There would be gum packets laying around the school which is not good for the environment.

8. It would make students go hyper and silly and off task in their work.

9. Someone that would pull it out of their mouth and put the gum back in their mouth which would make their fingers sticky.

10. Some Students could swallow the gum would get stuck in their heart which could cause surgery.
